My name is Gina and I’m a qualified registered nutritional therapist (mBANT). This means I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

My aim is to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to tackle their health goals, from helping improve gut health, boosting energy or achieving a healthy weight without restriction or crash dieting.

My degree and career path:

I first completed my undergraduate (BSc) and Masters (MSD) in Biochemistry before pivoting my studies towards nutrition. My biochemistry studies, as well as a personal interest in plant-based diets, ignited a passion to understand how food and lifestyle changes can affect our everyday health and future longevity.

I spent my free time at university researching nutrition and exploring how the foods that we fuel our bodies with have an effect on our health, happiness and disease prevention. 

After graduation I went on to complete my advanced diploma in nutrition and weight management (to a “Nutrition coach” level) and then went on to study personalised nutritional therapy at CNELM to further my knowledge and skills so I could pass on my passion and knowledge for nutrition to help other women improve their life and health! 

I also specialise in vegan diets. If you’ve been on a vegan diet for a while and have some health concerns, but you want to make sure you address these in line with your ethical choices, I promise to always be understanding and supportive. Alternatively if you’re environmentally conscious or wanting to transition to a more (but not 100%) plant based diet for whatever reason, I can guide you through the process, while keeping your health goals in focus! 

Food mindset:

There’s a lot of conflicting information out there about health and diet. I want to help you achieve the health you deserve without fad diets, guilt & shame.

Everyone should feel empowered to take control of their diet and understand how food works within their bodies to enable them to be limitless in what they can do and achieve in life.

I personally follow a plant-based diet but have worked with people of all diets and can provide vegetarian (as well as vegan) meal plans with suggestions of where you could make alterations to suit your own diet. I create a non-judgmental and open minded space for everyone. However, I have a special interest in those wanting to move towards a more plant-focused diet, if this sounds like you, I would be an ideal practitioner for you!

I also have a particular passion for longevity and achieving you aesthetic goals without compromising long term health. The evidence for a plant-focused diet being the best for achieving this is overwhelming.
