If you’re craving cosy autumn flavours but not quite ready to say goodbye to summer (like me soz fall girlies I am a summer baby through and through), this cardamom + cinnamon smoothie hits the spot. It’s light and refreshing, but still got those warming autumn flavours for this in-between season (especially like today when it’s sunny then raining 10 mins later 😭)
– high in plant-based protein (24g)
– a lil fibre boost (5g) (add 1 tbsp of flax seeds for extra fibre)
– and designed to support metabolic, heart and blood sugar health ✅
A balanced option for breakfast or a steady mid-afternoon snack – no blood sugar crash here.
Here’s the recipe 👇
🥣 Cardamom & Cinnamon Smoothie (serves 1)
• 130g silken tofu
• 100g courgette (raw, chopped – mine was frozen)
• 130g banana (ideally frozen)
• Seeds from 4 cardamom pods (crack the pods open + discard the shells)
• ½ tsp ground cinnamon
• 16g vanilla plant-based protein powder (I used Vivolife clean protein)
• 180ml unsweetened almond milk
Blend everything until smooth and creamy. Adjust milk to taste depending on how thick you like it! I like it super think like an icecream or milkshake
